Cubicle | So long. . .

Yesterday was fun. My heart was sad but it was fun. I've cleared up my desk. Double-checked all my folders was cleared. Erasing all of my stuff in the PC. Sigh. . . No. I didn't cry my eyes out yesterday. Even though Ah Bong tried to make me cry. (If he keep on trying, I might end up crying loh)

My (x) work station

Anyway, life must go on. After work we went to Lot 10 and I got myself a tiny make-up class (thanks to Rachel) I look good. . . *hehehe* I shall not post the end product here. *shy, shy* (pst! you can see it at my FB)

In the making...

Then headed back to Pavilion for a formal farewell dinner at Nando's. I was hoping to see my boss, YM there. But he was away for training. Talk about timing. . . . I didn't eat much as there was a second round for my farewell. *muahaha* And lookie at what I got!

My very own external drive *just the casing*

Well, I did hinted ~several times, hehehe~ that I wanted a external hard drive *in case that you didn't notice* I thought that I won't get it until I received a MMS from Nala, asking me to check my bag. Mind you, the MMS was with a picture of an external drive. I was so surprised looking at the box! I got it! I got it! And I kept asking Nala, why didn't he give it to me earlier when I was busying, transferring and burning my files on to DVDs. But it was really light when I opened the box. And Nala told me ~ remember to get only the SATA branded hard drive arrr. . . Then only I knew, it was only the casing (paiseh of me) It's gorgeous, rite? So, I'll be getting my external drive soon.

Box of chocolates from Grace ~ thank you so much!

And I got this cute card from them ~ hand-made! I really loved it. Yes. I was blabbering about me being invisible during the last few days here.

Is it that obvious that I like FBing?

Second round ~ karaoke session! Only few of us went. Thanks so much for this. I'll really missed you all. But hey! We can always come out for yamcha.

Rach ~ our crabbing sessions, Ah Ney & Bubu ~ our steamboat sessions. Nala ~ our drinking session. Grace ~ our K sessions.

Love you all!
*sob, sob*

Cubicle | Last day @ Grey

So, the time has come. It's 8.40am now. I'm the first one here as usual. *been punctual all the 2 and 1/2 years here (should have given me some incentive, loh)* Looking at my (nearly) empty workstation ~ there is nearly none of my stuff left.

I tried drafting my goodbye email. *it's a ritual here* It's not as easy and simple that I thought it would be. I used to receive this kind of email, it was like nothing. But coming to myself doing it, it's kinda tough.

Yes. I got "em seh dak" here. Ah Ney, you're right. . . I'll miss here, a lot. . . I'll miss you people here. . . You wacky people!!!

(ok. i shall go to a corner and weep)

Wassup | Jay Chou's 稻香 [dao xiang]

OMG!
It's out! Only a 2 minutes preview (better than nothing, rite?)

Cubicle | Hollow

I'm feeling a bit hollow now. The end is inching nearer by the second. I'm already missing the fun and laughter we all had together.

hol.low - having a space or cavity inside; not solid; having a depression or concavity.

I've been cleaning and packing up my stuff. Wow! I do have lot'sa stuff to bring back home. Usually I do all these when there is no people around. I wouldn't want them to see me doing so. I feel sad, they feel sad *not too sure about this part*

Sigh... I'm having a heavy heart right now. I know people might say that I'm just going away. They will survive with or without me. Well, I'm not that important, so it doesn't matter. It's just that spending my last 2 and 1/2 years here ~ I do feel I'm a part of here. *i have no idea what i'm talking about o_O*

[P/S: i wish i may, i wish i might, i wish that i can have an external drive? (hehe) - hint for my boss, lar]

Silver Screen | Sweet Rain [死神の精度] Accuracy of Death

Shinigami no Seido

2 words! NICE WATCH

Having Takeshi Kaneshiro is a bonus. He's so good looking. Even in all the 3 characters that he portrayed. YUMMY!!!

Chiba san

Takeshi as Chiba is the God of Death [shinigami] that will visit and judge those who will be dying soon. Judge? Meaning he have the say to proceed (death) or suspend (live). He'll get to know you and your destiny and your unfinished business. It always rains when he worked, thus the name Sweet Rain. Sweet? Coz he's kind hearted. Not just taking people's life away. And did I mentioned that he's GORGEOUS?

OK. Let's talk about the girl of this movie, Manami Konishi. She is Kazue Fujiki here and she's a sad case. First part, everyone around her dies. Second part is about his son's sad life. Third part, her golden days. But there is always a silver lining in her clouds.

Manami Konishi as Kazue Fujiki

Care to know the ending? Go watch it! I liked it. It's a story about LIFE. Not death to me. What do you think?

Sunny Day - Manami Konishi [nice song from this movie]

Cubicle | Value

val.ue ~ relative worth, merit, or importance

How does one feel when seeing themselves fading away in the background?
How does one feel that they are not that important anymore?

*

*

*

Talking about value. . . Me and Rachel went shopping just now @ Isetan, Lot 10. It was their anniversary sales, pre-sales today. Went there with a mission: buy face stuff. And I ended up buying . . .
Value, right? Mind you, I got 9 items of free gifts! L-O-L! Nope, I'm not telling you how much I spent here. Let's keep that a secret. But as for lunch, we had Mamee cup noodles. Sounds very cham? *I'm OK with any kind of donations. Hehe*

Well, value brings a lot of meaning to me today... Good and bad too.

Wassup | Different standards?

It's a fact that different standards are practiced everywhere. Let me give you some scenarios.

Try comparing yourself buying something from a stall and a "gwai lou" buying the same thing. For sure, all frown to you and a big fat smile for the "gwai lou". True?

Being totally invisible while serving your notice period. Feels like you are camouflaging yourself with the background. Or fading away like a disappearing ghost? Take a pick ~ either way you feel like unseen. *except to the wackos* Compared to working your a** off for the pass 2 years. Typical?

Not getting help from others because you're not single and available anymore? Picture yourself having to take a hot bowl of noodles across the table while the very person across the table doesn't want to help. Or having to go under the table to check on the network cable problem while your neighbour busily types the keyboard not offering any help? Sigh...

Talk about double standards. . .

Wassup | pat yuet sap em

Yes. It means the 15th day of the 8th month in Lunar calender. Also means Mid-Autumn Festival. Mooncake galore!!!

Lanterns @ Tian Hou Gong

Besides having makan-makan session with my family, a good friend of mine got his marriage registered at Tian Hou Gong. So, I was up early Sunday morning to attend his day. Sky was blue, sun was all out. A great day indeed.

It was a SUNNY, HOT day @ Tian Hou Gong

The registration was short and simple ~ saying I DO "yuen yi", exchange rings and of coz the signing of papers. And TADA! They're married! Kem Yip nearly shouted "yuen yi", it was so loud and clear. Good for him! Wish them all the best in their united life. Congrats to Kem Yip and Soo Cheng. And obviously I went camera crazy on them!

United as one

Newly weds ~ Yip & Cheng

Good ol' Yip being his cheeky-self

I love this shot!

Another one for the album! ~Yeay!~

Now we just have to wait for their wedding day on 22.12.08. It's about 3 months from now. It should be enough time to save up angpau money. Hehehe...

A toast to Kem Yip & Soo Cheng!

Couch Potato | When A Dog Love A Cat

Saw this 20 episode TVB series and was sobbing at the end of it. For the animal lovers, just have a peek, you might love it too.

When A Dog Love A Cat has Lo Ka Leung and Myolie Wu as the main casts. Uh! Plus Siu Pa and Can Can as the main dog and cat casts. It's a loving story between humans and animals as well as love and family relationships.

I can't reveal much here coz I don't want to spoil the fun watching it yourself. I know, people are now busy watching the hit and famous Moonlight Resonance "ga hou yuet yuen" but I'm not a fan of family rivalry loh. I'm more into fun, loving stories like this one :)

Cubicle | Cold room

Do you know what is a cold room? Let's get back to the Chinese history. . . You know when the emperor has lot's of wives and concubines? When one of those wives or concubines are unwanted, they will be sentenced into the "lang gung" a.k.a cold room. This is where they are ignored and forgotten.

Since its left a few weeks for me here, I'm in the cold room now. I know that I'm not supposed to handle anymore jobs but . . . not until like this lor. So, I'm just minding my business ~ leaving my job documentation for the junior coming in, clearing my stuff, do some research, thinking of what to have for lunch, etc.

Weng said ~ it's like that geh. Nala said ~ where got?. Rachel said ~ they are just busy loh.

Anyway, I'm just enjoying the company now. The dumb jokes, the wacky pranks, the "x-rated" discussion. o_O Hahahaha!

Cubicle | September baby

Birthday girl in da' house ~ Rachel ~ Yeay! Another round of buffet! *burp* This time is to Saisaki @ UOA, KL.
My first plate

It was supposed to be a surprised. But some of the attendees leaked out the plan. ARGH! Never in my life that the things that I planned ends like this! But we all had a GREAT time. Laughing our heads off. Quoted from Ah Bong "You think your house, ar?" This is what I'll miss the most when I'm gone *sob, sob*

Anyway, food was abundance. Everyone was taking a few rounds. I lost count on Elvis's plates. And lost count on Nala's prawn fascination. But everyone went back with an extra kg. After having Jogoya last weekend, Saisaki was just nothing. Another reason to hit the gym again ~sigh~

Some of the desserts

What's left to the prawns ~ thanks to Nala

The price

Silver Screen | Babylon

VIN DIESEL!!!
How can I pass on this? It's a Vin Diesel's movie. I'm a fan! Love his deep, deep voice. But the movie is a OK lah.

So, this is his latest ~ BABYLON A.D. Story was not bad and beautifully directed. The only disappointment was the ending. It ended so abruptly. I was like "Har? Like that only?"

Sorry for the cold brush off. You all are welcome to see it. But I won't recommend it :)

I still love you VIN!

Cubicle | 16 more days

Total working days I'll be here. It does make me sad as I will miss the bunch of wackos here the most. *sob* You know who you are...

Leaving here means leaving Sg Wang, Pavilion, Lot 10, etc. No more lunch shopping agenda. *sob*

But it's not the end. Sure there will be a time for "minum session", ya? *hic! hic!*

Wassup | n.i.n.e

As I said earlier, every 31st August brings another meaning to me and Weng. This year's set us to the 9th year :) We'll celebrate it every year without fail. Maybe coz it collides with Merdeka, it's easier to remember.

We didn't plan for anything special celebration as we got something at the end of September. I thought of just a nice dinner and that's all. Or maybe a small trip to Melaka. Then suddenly felt like wanting to do something else. So, started the countdown on 23rd Aug. Giving him a present everyday for the next nine days. Small nine items for each day. I know, it's insane. But, it's just small, small stuff. . . I think I can afford it.

DAY 9 ~ 23rd August
small tube [9 cubes of letters inside]

DAY 8 ~24th August crystal rocks [9 rocks inside]

DAY 7 ~ 25th August mini bells [9 colorful bells]

DAY 6 ~ 26th August
cupcakes [9 wondermilk cuppacakes]

DAY 5 ~ 27th August
big tube [9 scrolls inside]

DAY 4 ~ 28th August
mini clothes clips [9 cute clips inside]

DAY 3 ~ 29th August chocolates [9 delicious patchi]

DAY 2 ~30th August
seashells [handmade, ya! *still got something to add on*]

DAY 1 ~ 31st August
our memory [9 moments captured]

I told you that it was small stuff, some got meaning, some doesn't have. It's just the fun of it. Well. . . he was happy, anxious, curious about all these. Hehehe. . .

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

He found this CD for me. Remember those days ~ cassette times? I can say that it's our song ~ 新鲜 [Fresh]. Listening to this made me think about our college time, when he explained this song's lyric to me - word by word. *sweet, sweet*

梁咏琪 [Gigi Leung]

Later that nite (after a full day of babies-sitting my nephews and niece), we went to Chef & Brew for a bottle of wine :)

HAPPY 9th, Weng...
