Wassup | David Cook ~@lways be my baby...

you'll always be a part of me
i'm a part of you indefinitely
girl don't you know you can't escape me
ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
and we'll linger on
time can't erase a feeling this strong
no way you're never gonna shake me
ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

It's DAVID COOK! The winner of American Idol season 7. I'm not a constant follower of American Idol but I do keep an eye for David Cook. True enough, he won! I think the best song was Mariah Carey's Always Be My Baby. Didn't know that this song can be sang that way. It was so cool. Did I mention that he's HOT? Yeah! He is ~ eyes that can melt you away... Remember Chris Daughtry from last season? David Cook reminded me of Chris with hair.

Me and Bubu listen to it all day in the office. I don't have the original file. Someone in the office has it and I just listen from itunes. Thanks Tony Lim, whoever you are.

Wassup | Books Galore

Who said that Malaysian doesn't read enough books?

This once a year event, Book Fest 2008 organized by Popular Bookstore proved them wrong. The place was packed with people last weekend. It will last for the whole week in conjunction with the school holidays (yipee! less traffic jam in the morning!

Venue: KL Convention Centre

Date: 24 May - 1 June 2008

Time: 10am - 10pm

Entry fees: RM2

Website: http://www.bookfestmalaysia.com/

People~books~more people~more books

Well, I did bought 2 books. Not really that cheap, normal titles are 10% (non-Popular card member) and 20% (Popular card member). I'm not a Popular Bookstore member so 10% ~ i can get it anywhere. Some does have special discounts. You need to really go look for it.

I bought Cecelia Ahern's Thanks for the Memories @ RM51.90. It's her latest. Wonder if it's as good as PS I Love You. (I shed some tears on that book
'_'
) It's cheaper compared to Kinokuniya at this time lah.

Yes. I bought a book to learn Chinese :)

Besides books there are CDs, DVDs, stationary, stuff toys, etc. there. I can't resist to buy these... (hehe!)
Weng asked: Aik? How come you bought all these? It's a book fair, right?

Nicole answered: Hehehe... I bought 1 for you and 1 for me... *trying to be cute, lor*
See what he bought... Like real... :p

Cubicle | On the weekends?

You gotta be kidding me. Working on the weekends? And with the no news on the MONEY??? Is it worth it? I'm still thinking....

Excuses, excuses and more excuses. . . Where is the MONEY? May is ending and I did not receive any letter about it. BUMMER!

And this "not so intelligent" report! That I need to send it out by Monday, is such a waste of time. Are there any differences after the last report? NO! Then, why there is the need to do this report?

I know I need to do it no matter what. I'm just blabbering lar. Don't mind me.

~moment of silence~

Words, however kind,
can't mend your heartache:
but those who care and share your loss
wish you comfort and peace of mind
May you find strength
in the love of family and
in the warm embrace of friends

Today was going to be HELL at work. Will be a coolie for every week for the coming 11 weeks. If you know what I mean. ~Sigh~

So, I was a bit moody, grouchy; you name it, I got it! But what would I never thought is I got a stalk of white pinkish rose (awwww.....) Stop making assumptions, ya! It's from my temp staff who just came back from Cameron. Thanks, Nicholas! You changed my cursed 20th May to a nicer 20th May. Really sweet, rite?

Silver Screen | Narnia:Prince Caspian

Since I've spent RM46 for this movie. I think that it deserve a space in my blog.

As any movie sequels done, Narnia does the same thing. Yeah, I know that this came from a series of books. I rate this as OK la. It's a fairy tale, can't expect more. The 4 siblings have grown up. Uh! Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) is a catch! But his English slang. . . a bit funny.

The grown 4 kings

Prince Caspian aka Ben Barnes

Done drooling over Ben. . . The stories goes back to Narnia where the 4 kings are called to save Narnia. But once again the mighty Aslan saves Narnia. Kinda predicted that to happen. There aren't much to anticipate in this movie. Got a bit love story, a bit action, a bit kiddy...

I wouldn't want to destroy some of you that loves Narnia movie ya! I'm just OK with it only lah.

Cubicle | Road to China

"bei jing huan ying nie. . ."

Before I blabber out some nonsense, take a look at the 2008 Olympic theme song ~ Beijing Welcomes You. Caution: LONG SONG ~ 6 minutes ++

Feeling very proud? I mean as a Chinese. The song is actually not bad. Easily stuck in your head. And you'll be humming the song the whole day. Oh! It's sung by 100 singers from China, HK and Taiwan. NO! Jay Chou was not in it. So sad :( Got Stefanie Sun, FIR, Lee Hom, Richie Ren, Wa-Kin, Jolin, Nic Tse, Joey Yung, Na Ying, etc.

Why ROAD TO CHINA, you asked? Remember ROAD TO SPAIN?
Here:
http://nicolensm.blogspot.com/2008/05/cubicle-stress-room.html

Nala came up with a new term of ROAD TO CHINA. He said it's the "IN" thing now.
Together now! ~~bei jing huan ying nie~~

Cubicle | We're junkies!

All hell broke loose during today's lunch hour. My boss invited us for curry mee at Jalan Pasar. *aiya! Forgot to snap some pix* Which is coincidentally in front of the "Pemborong Makanan Ringan Kit Seng"

So, what are we waiting for? Buy! Buy! Buy! We ended up using about RM150++ for 6 people. Just on junk food. We are truly JUNKIES!

Our treasures
Did I mentioned 6 of us? Imagine having 6 people in 1 Waja. Luckily we are quite slim *even after lunch!* Can't promise we'll stay slim after our junk attack! Muahahaha =p

Wassup | The devils of shopping!

OMG! OMG! My heart is beating faster. My skin feels all tingly. *No! I'm not falling in love. I've fallen in love with someone long ago*

The devils I'm referring are my temp staffs. They are the culprit that dragged me into online shopping. I bought a bag via online and I'm still using it now. One of my favourite bag. Hence, no more phobia for online shopping.

Today is the last day to place orders. Mind you, they have their system whereby they got cut-off time for orders. So that the buyers can get their purchases faster. Not bad, eh? Yesterday I made up my mind not to buy as I still got 1 more bag from Taiwan that I haven't use. But, as they say "girls just can't have enough bags!". Well, I'm the proof of that. Weng always say I can open up a BAG MUSEUM. *erm... not a bad idea*

This is my purchase. It's a side bag as well as a sling bag. Main thing, it's big! I can put all my stuff in it. Loads and loads of stuff: Wallet, HP, make-ups, PSP, digicam, etc. etc. I choose the black one. Nice? RM30 (excluding delivery fees, normally its just extra RM1-2) Cheap?

Go visit http://www.jbtalks.cc/thread-289760-1-1.html *Nicole set to poison all bag addicts. Muahahaha! (evil laugh)* Thanks ya! jbtalks.

P/S: Success poisoning Gracias, PK and Vic (all my temp staffs)

Weng, you sponsor me me arrr... *wink! wink!*

Cubicle | Why no more blog?!

Ah Nie asked "Why no updates on ur blog?!" *sounds like a command than asking loh* Hahaha... (jangan marah...)

Anyway, life's been mundane. Nothing that "TING!" that would make way to my blog. Been work, work and more work. Still doing lot'sa paper work IE. data entry stuff... I'm a database person meaning analyzing data. Hence, entering data would be part of my job too. Let's not bore our audience till death, ya Nicole. . .

Life is like my zebra here. Sekejap semangat, sekejap lemah semangat!
See what I mean?
Feel like want to lie down and zzzzz..... Just let the week pass by...
Oh! There is something to look forward to. Hopefully I'll get a letter soon on some good news. Wish me luck and please cross all your fingers and toes for me.
Forgot to mention that it's May 13th today. I'm no historian here. But I know that it's not a good day for our country. Let's have a silent moment, be thankful that was the past and leave the past behind.

Wassup | I Love You, Mommy!

~I Love You Too, Daddy!~

Wishing all moms out there a very Happy Mother's Day! This year it's on May 11th. I can say that I didn't miss any Mother's Day with my mommy. This year I planned a small surprise for her. As they say "which women/girl that doesn't like flowers?" So. . . me and my colleague, Rachel went to buy our moms flowers. She's been doing this for years and her mom just love it. I didn't splurge a lot coz my brother didn't want to share the cost with me (boo! hoo!)

For my mommy...

How does it looks? I can't remember the scientific name for these. But the florist said it's from the carnation family. *Pst! Does it looks like a cauliflower? (pau choy)* Rachel said so. But I think it's sweet and cute. From the back on my head, I keep hearing my mommy say "Waste money". But SURPRISE! SURPRISE! My mom was really happy and said this is the first time getting flowers. Yeah, she did said that I wasted money and 1 carnation was good enough. But I asked "Happy getting it?" I got a big smile and a big YES!

For Rachel's mom

Rachel got her mom's favourite lilies. Looks good, rite? Oh, did I told you that quite reasonably priced? Mine was for RM40 and Rachel's for RM80. It looks like as though it costs RM100++. Sure you'll start asking where? where? Hehe. . . Why not share with you??? It's at Wisma Cosway, 1st floor, next to Ton Chan Japs restaurant. The florist shop's name is Rain. Lovely lady there.

One last look. LOVELY!!

~HAPPY MOMMY'S DAY!!!~

Cubicle | Stress Room

Courtesy from Interactive Team
Waah. . . Need some joss-stick. Hehe.

Yeap. I'm working in a stress room. Work, work, work and deadlines, deadlines, deadlines. Wonder why they call it deadlines ~ it's dead! So, no need to follow lar. I'm with the Interactive team in the room. So, I can really feel their anger, frustrations. . . Me? I'm in database team. Nonetheless, I got my stuff to do too. Piles of work, work and more work. (ahem! wonder if I'll get increment)

As quoted by Alan "Road To Spain!" So, let's all go to "ROAD TO SPAIN!" ~YEAH!!!~

Wassup | Do I need wheels?

So tired today. Maybe it was because of last night's public transport. I'm sick and tired of our public transport. Especially Komuter. It's always not on time thus the crowd! OMG! Imagine that you standing beside a tall guy with his hand holding on the bar above. Luckily this guy standing beside me does not have BO! Ha ha ha!
The trusty Komuter

So, comes to mind ~ do I need wheels? Can I afford it? My mom always tells me that a car have better lives than human. Drinking good stuff or shall I say expensive stuff, maintenance, toll and the list goes on and on. Plus I do have my dad and bf to send and fetch me around. Decisions, decisions to make. . . To come to think of it, paiseh to have to ask for rides. Sometimes going out with friends would be difficult.
Buy me?

I do have my driving license (framed up). That would be a problem too. But as they said, when you got a car, it will force you to drive. Well, I can't be a judge to that (yet!)

Silver Screen | Iron Man aka "Lelaki Seterika"

Way too cool! Loved the movie. I'm no comic addict but I sure enjoyed this. Robert Downey Jr. is THE MAN! Quote "Yeah! I can fly!"

Beam me up!

I missed few minutes in the beginning. Thanks to the snack counter. Pavilion GSC should hire better staff, in other words, a faster staff. I just wanted popcorn and mineral water. Why is is so slow. Buck up lah!

As I was saying, Robert Downey Jr. did a great job doing Tony Stark. Being snobbish with a pinch of humour. Gwyneth Paltrow was gorgeous. Would make you start thinking ~ will these 2 be together? Well. . . you be the judge to that.

Enough being said about the cast. Let's move on the the sexy metal! Red and gold ~ to be said not to be OTT. Lol!
Do I look sexy or what?
The storyline was good enough. It's about saving the world (bla, bla, bla). Tony Stark is a genius billionaire that invents weapons. So, he would have a lot of enemies. Thus, got kidnapped loh. How did the suit comes in sight? I shall not spoil the fun for you to watch it at the cinema. This movie should not be seen via pirated DVD. I strongly recommend to see it in the cinema. Plus, the soundtrack is not bad.
