Screen | Autobots VS. Decepticons!

AWESOME!!! That's the only word that comes into my mind after 2 hours. Adrenaline was pumping high. I want to watch it again! Any takers?

What I normally say about sequel is it's not good ~ just a plot to make more money. But TRANSFORMERS : REVENGE OF THE FALLEN is not that kinda sequel. It left goosebumps on my skin. *well, not as fantastic as the 1st Transformer. But it's great!*

Having Shia LaBeouf as Sam Witwicky again really sees him improve his acting and Megan Fox as Mikaela is as hot as ever. Not too sure about her acting tho'.

Looking at the title itself, it's for REVENGE for sure. Of course you need to see the first Transformers to know that Megatron was defeated and thrown down into the deep sea - well guarded.

As of now, the Autobots is working together with human to clean out the bits and pieces of the Decepticons. Lead by Optimus Prime and hunky Major Lennox (Josh Duhamel), they formed NEST with a few other Autobots. You might be wondering where is Bumblebee... He's chosen to stay with Sam as his guardian. But Sam is going for college without him to live a normal life. *sob~sob*

Spoken too soon, Megatron was 'rescued' and given life with the last fragment of the Allspark. And the revenge begins. *I won't spoil it too much for you* Hehe.

Go get your tix now. I bought it a week before, so you can't casually walk into a cinema to buy the tix. Good luck!

Halo | Urbanscapes 2009

I went to Urbanscapes 2009 @ KLPAC. It's an art-ty event by KLue, participated by people who loves music, arts, files, photography and fashion.

It was a rainy day yesterday but that didn't stop people to join in the fun at KLPAC. Having a free tix, I went as well :) The event was packed. Parking was a nightmare as the parking bays wasn't enough to accommodate the crowds. Finally got the car parked and we walked to the entrance. Which was not really an entrance. Even without the tix, you can go in.

It started off with the flea market, like those you see in The Curve. Most of them are selling clothes and accessories. But there are a few that are interesting which fits the bill of personal art creation. Not having clothes bought in bulk from Bangkok to be sold here.

Further in the market, there's the KLPAC building *not sure what's the name* Here there are some real people tyring to use their art. Besides that, there's a few auditorium showing local films and local group jamming. Not bad actually... And without the tix, you can't go in.
Now I know what's the use of the tix.

Comparing to the arts event in other countries like Taiwan and Japan, we still have a lot of catch-up to do. Ganbateh! Jia You!

Anyway, I did get something back from Urbanscapes 2009. A bag from Tongue in Chic! Got it for free by showing them a photo of myself at their booth. Not bad, eh?

:)

What's Tongue in Chic, you say? It's about what's happening in fashion, sales, event. Check out Tongue in Chic at http://www.tonguechic.com/

Food | New York New York Deli

Been wanting to try this place out. So, finally we went in after he saw his favourite Root beer Float. New York New York Deli in One Utama, opposite Cold Storage.

At first, we thought it was just another western restaurant. The truth is. . . yes! It is! Hahaha! The food is good, actually. The ULTIMATE HOT CHOCOLATE is sooooo sinful! With marshmallows! OMG. Felt real guilty after having it.

Sinfully yours

He got himself a Teriyaki Chicken. Not too sure why there's a pineapple there. Portion was quite decent. Loved the salad :)

And you know what I had? Breakfast! At 9PM! They serve breakfast all day long! I was thinking the bacon would taste good. But it's not as good as the photo in the menu. I still love the salad.

Hmm. What can I say? It's just another western restaurant...

Screen | Terminator Salvation

Let me get this straight. This Terminator Salvation has no relation with the first 3 Terminator movies. Yes. It's true! Coz I got a "little" confuse at the middle of it. I keep trying to draw a timeline during the movie. But it makes no sense! Then ~~ he says, don't link back to the old Terminator then you'll understand. True enough ~ it makes sense after that :)

The main storyline is still there, saying Skynet has taken over the world. Judgement Day happened and the machine is out there to kill all human. But the timeline is different from all previous Terminators. John Connor does not belongs to 1995 as in Terminator 2: Judgement Day. He belongs to the future and went back in to the pass ~ Year 2018.

I'm not too sure whether this make sense or not. But the main thing is ~~ he needs to save his father, Kyle Reese (which is a teenager in 2018) so that he will exist in the future and become the leader of the Resistance.

I think I'm confusing a whole lot of people here. Maybe you have your say?

As for the movie... It was just an OK for me. Not because of the confusion part, as in the storyline... it was just OK. But Christian Bale is HOT!

As John Connor

Christian Bale ~ I prefer him with long hair

Halo | Blood Part 2

Hah! It's not the sequel of BLOOD: The Last Vampire o_O

My heart is at the right place BUT my blood is not. . . No, I'm not down with some kind of illness. There was a blood donation going on at my work place. And being a kind-hearted girl *fooyoh*, I went with a BIG heart! This is not my first time.

Happily went in and have my finger poked for blood test. And "WHAT?!" I can't donate blood? Yes... They say I don't have enough iron in my blood. Well... I did try. Not being chicken like some people *hehe*

What can I do? They don't want my blood. But Mindy and Darren passed the test and donated! Woohoo! Darren, there goes your "first time". Hahaha.

So, maybe next time for me. Maybe I'll go chew on some metal lamp post in the meantime.

*Slurp*

~suddenly i thought of Edward Cullen ... awww~

Food | Korean ~ Mu Jin Jang BBQ

No. It's not from Jinjang. And is not a bad word. This Korean restaurant is at Ampang. The famous Korean Village opposite Ampang Point. Here you'll find yourself becoming a foreigner. Rows of Korean restaurant like this one ~ Mu Jing Jang BBQ.

After work, we have a sudden urge to have Korean food. Actually, it's just me... I love kimchi! And those small, small side dishes. Yummy!

Of course the BBQ would be great. But there's only 2 of us and the Korean food are normally cost quite a bit. So, we settle for a Kimchi pork soup. Look at the size of it. And that's all we ordered. BURP!!! It's more than enough. We managed to finish it!

My favourite Korean small side dishes
*wish it was refill-able*

Craving for Korean food, anyone?

Screen | Blood

Got to see BLOOD which was adapted from the anime. I'm not a huge follower of anime, so I wouldn't want to compare it. Let's just see it as a movie.

The color mood is nice. The CG not too good. The lead actress ~ Gianna Jun Ji-Hyun is a cool. You remember her in My Sassy Girl, a Korean movie.

Gianna Jun Ji-Hyun

Saya *not me* is a 16 year old through human eyes, actually a 400 year old 'halfling'. Born to a human father and vampire mother. Her father was murdered by Onigen the most vicious vampire and she have no idea who's her mother. Having the rage to revenge her father's death, she hunts down vampires to lure Onigen out.

Successfully, she did! Battling with Onigen and at the climax ~~~ "SAYA, I'M YOUR MOTHER!" Well, it was not being said like that. I just pictured it like that. So Star Wars-liked *hahaha~no offence to the Star Wars fans*

I kinda kill the movie here, did I? So, how was the movie? I asked...

"The color mood is nice :)"

"Want to vomit BLOOD"

I rest my case...

Trippin | 2 hills in 1 day

Bored of the city? Sick of going to the same shopping mall over and over again? Head on out for a road trip! *I sound like an advertisement, hehe*

As we're thinking on how to spend our precious weekends, suddenly he came up with an idea going to Bukit Tinggi. I have never been up there before. So, this is the first time *and the last too!*

The drive wasn't too bad. It's a bit further from Genting Highlands. Comparing driving up to Genting, Bukit Tinggi is much easier *according to him*

How shall I say it... Hmm... Bukit Tinggi ~ hot is one of em'. The place is a bit deserted in the morning. But by noon, crowds are visible. I think they have the same voice I have, "Like that only, ah? Next time don't want to come ler"

The Colmar Tropicale is just a short street with French looking buildings. These are actually hotel rooms. And some eatery places which is not that appealing. I just don't fancy the place. Sorry.

The castle

The short street

The one thing I liked was the Japanese Village. At least there's something different. I'm not sure is it because of the bad weather or what. It was HOT. I was sweating all the way.

The ala-Japanese entrance

You can stay here in the Ume Tatami Suite at the Japanese Village. But it will cost you a bomb. While I was here, I don't see anyone renting it. There's this Tatami Spa too, which is also empty. And the price, I shall not give you a heart attack. Let's just enjoy the scenery.

Soothing small waterfall

The trip only lasted us till noon. We just headed off to Genting Highlands. At this time, it was packed with people! School holiday is still on, Saturday noon. Of course there's a big crowd.

No we did not went to casino *shorts and slippers are not allowed in*. Theme park? No... it was packed and we don't really fancy scaring our fragile hearts. We ended up at Coffee Bean, sipping our favourite drinks and just enjoy the cool weather. Yes, it's cooler here than Bukit Tinggi.

Ahh... The legendary logo

It always make me wonder, why people keep coming back to Genting. For me I'll come back here over Bukit Tinggi. Maybe the rumours are true. There are little ghost that ties your legs here. *wait a minute... those are rumours for the gamblers* Hmm... just be simple, it's the weather that makes me want to return here again :)

Screen | 17 Again

Zac Efron... He's cute :) Went to see 17 Again with Bubu and Rachel. All girls day out! Wohoo! They went back with shoes and watch but I went back empty handed. *must save money~must save money*

Since Bubu practically begging us to watch this ~ OK lah. And Zac Efron is in it, let's go for it. In case you have no idea who's Zac Efron. Here you go...

You probably saw him in those High School Musical. But here he played a little bit grown up guy, Micheal O'Donnell currently aged 37. Made a choice to marry his high school sweetheart (pregnant at that time) as he was getting a full college scholarship at his basketball championship.

So, 20 years down the road ~ as you can predict it. He's a LOSER! Getting divorce from this sweetheart and the kids don't want him. Wishing he was back at his high school days where there's glory and fame; so that he can do it all over again and make the right choice. And TADA! Here comes Zac Efron!

It's a sweet funny movie. Imagine you have your dad as your buddy and wanting him to be your boyfriend. Weird kinda feeling. But it's hilarious.

Something similar with Going on 30 with Jennifer Garner and Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan. So, this is kinda the male version of those.

Ahhh... Some have it great in high school, some hated it! But if you would have a chance, would you want to go back to do it all over again the same way? Or differently?

Halo | Nokia N97

Doesn't it takes your breath away??? It did that to me... Just look at that sexy body... The way it slides up... Ahhhhhh......
I'm trying to make my blog space become 18SX. But just look at the new Nokia N97! It just makes me all tingling.

So, what makes this N97 great? To be compared with the famous Iphone? I think it's around the same price but I'll take N97 over Iphone. N97 looks cooler with its QWERTY keypad for easy typing. Not just that, it has touch screen too!

Nowadays, people on the move so much that they want to strapped their laptop on their neck. Having N97, it's just like your mini laptop! You can easily be connected to the Web, updating your Facebook status, uploading the photo of a hot chick that you just snapped, checking out the latest news and the list goes on and on!

But what makes it different from the others? You know how you like to personalize your laptop or desktop. You can customize your layout the way you like with N97. Having Facebook on your top list, next to the StarOnline news feed, squashed between your email box and your stock market news.

Armed with a 5.0 megapixel camera, you are guaranteed to a perfect snaps always! And you can upload it immediately on the Web!

I know I'm a bit hard-sell on N97. But I really think it's a good mobile phone to invest on. So, it's going to my wish list! =)

Check out the demo here!

Halo | I'm IN!

I've landed! I've landed! * ops! I mean "We've landed! We've landed!"

May 31st! Ceremonially, we've moved in our home! Even without a fridge and washing machine. Hehehe... I'm not staying here good lah. It's just a ceremony to "claim" the place. It's a bit scary coz there wasn't a lot of neighbours on our floor.

So, after walking over the burning charcoal, we're IN! Easy right?

Did I mentioned that the TV is also not in yet? Hehehe. Imagine how bored we were! The TV is safe hands. We don't want to leave the TV alone at home since we're not going to stay there yet.

Luckily we have a friend who's staying a few floors above and is having a house warming party. At least there's TV there! Hahaha...

But we did have a small celebration in our home. We had our Laurent-Perrier champagne.

Happy Moving In!
*house warming? coming soon*
