The first CNY movie I watched was Ah Beng The Movie. Must support local production! Hehehe! Actually it's kinda OK. But compared with the past 2 years ~ Woohoo and Great Day are better. But Jack Lim, being his first written movie ~ Pass la.

The storyline is good but I think there was some problem with the editing part. Sometimes it feels like its suddenly cut off or suddenly jump to another scene. You should watch it =) Nice CNY movie to start with.

Next in line, I Love HK 2012. Well, well, well. No big surprise here. Following the trend of All's Well, End's Well, they came out with the this after I Love HK 2011 last year. Utilizing the TVB people, you'll see a lot of familiar faces. But this time, I think the people involved are lesser. Budget constraints?

Anyway, it's just another CNY movie. Good laugh to spend your long CNY holiday =)

That's it for now. Hope to get to watch All's Well End's Well 2012. Not too high hopes. Maybe it's just another CNY movie =p

Happy Dragon CNY!!! Today is already Chor 3. And I'm at work =_=" But sweat not, my holiday will be in Feb =) the long 7 days stretch! YEAY!

This is the second year giving out angpaos. Phew! No more double packs anymore. Just that this year, my princess can't receive any yet. Next year ya, baby ^^

CNY and 'open table'? Can't be separated... *evil* This year, we invested on a Rummy Mahjong. And I'm supposed to learn it. They say it's much more easier than Mahjong. I was a bit skeptical but HEY! It is easier. Or maybe baby is giving me "ONG"!

Jay's movie ~ how can I miss it? Hehehe! The most awaited movie that caused KL area a little havoc. Adding to that, Nicholas is it it too! I can say Jay's acting has improved and Nicholas, needless to say ~ well done!

The Viral Factor, Jay as Jon is an International Security Affair agent. On a mission he was shot by his own team, traitor. Landed him with just a few weeks to live. That launches him to look for his long lost father and brother in Malaysia. His mom left them when he was young.

Nicholas as Yeung portraying as Jon's brother is working for the bad guy. Making them enemies. So, what will happened? =)

Looking at Malaysia on the big screen does seems a bit weird. Especially during the chasing part. How can the chase on foot from Putrajaya ended in Bukit Bintang. Well, I think it's OK for other people. But for Malaysian, we know the map. Hehehe.

All and all, the movie was good. I'm not saying coz of Jay, OK? Hehehe! Enjoy!

It's been a while that I posted stuff about food. I know most of you might already know about this place called Antipodean at Bangsar. Food is great! Love the breakfast. I have not tried the meals yet but will go for it for sure.

Just be there prepared as it's a bit crowded especially during the weekends =)

I have to admit that age is really catching up. Went to watch a back to back movie with him ~ Mission Impossible then The Darkest Hour. And boy! It was tiring. Hahahaha! We agreed not to do it again in the near future.

So, let's talk about Ethan Hunt. I thought there wasn't going to be another MI as he is getting old. But I can tell you that Tom Cruise still has it, even with a few extra wrinkles =) He can still charmed me off my feet anytime.

As for the movie, well ~ it's entertaining as every MI movie =) Love the cars! This time the team was framed and they need to clear up their names. Great movie =) Minus the 4D effect that I got from the kids sitting behind me =(

Next up, after downing some toast is The Darkest Hour. Actually I didn't really want to watch this. But he insisted. And it costs more than MI! LOL!

I think the plot was alright. Some newness in the storyline. It does feels like watching Skyline, another alien movie. But all alien movies are the same... Taking over the world, kill all human, etc. Actually, it's not that bad. But it's just another alien movie to me.

Once again Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson is back to kick some ass *well, literally* I personally think that it's lacking a bit of action as compared with the first one. And note to myself, don't watch a late movie ~ 10pm. Mind you, I'm pregnant... I tend to sleep early ok? Hehehe...

Let's get back to the movie, shall we? This time against criminal mastermind Dr Moriarty that's always one step ahead of Holmes. With Dr Watson getting married and being dragged into the whirlwind of chaos, it still brings out the witty laughter of this movie.

I, myself needs to re-watch this coz I kept dozing off at the end of the movie. Not that it's boring it's just that I'm a tired mummy to be =)

Ok. It was my bad that I left my iPhone at home yesterday. I felt so handicapped without it and felt so bad leaving it behind. I think this short-term memory lost will stay for a while. A friend of mine even says it'll get worse after I delivered! o_O"

So, to compensate my iPhone (yeah, right... I'm just giving myself an excuse to shop =p) I got a new outfit! It's a 几米's (Jimmy Liao) illustration cover. I saw this once during my trip to Shanghai. But it costs RM100++. But here I got it with RM39.80 from Action City ^^

Hmm... I don't think I have one this time. Priority change maybe? Hahahaha! Of course there are a thousand things that I would love to have. But, do I really need em? I'm starting to sound like a mummy now! LOL!

Perfume? Watch? Bag? TS charm? Sigh... My birthday also coming up soon. So, I'm assuming 2-in-1 gift. (okay, I'm hinting. hehehe) But still back to square 1. I have no idea! Even for me to get something for myself... I think it's the hormones. Maybe I should get gifts for baby instead?

Screen | Breaking Dawn - Part 1

So, here's part 1. I was hoping it was to be more. But it came out like ~ blah... Already heard about negative comments on the movie. But still I have to watch it with my own eyes. I have to practically drag him to the cinema to watch with me. He did told me to look for other Twilight junkie to watch with me. But it was kinda long delayed movie. So, I dragged him.

First of all, there was too much censored portion. I don't mean to watch the whole intimate scene. But at least not to watch it abruptly disconnected... Then, the birth of Reneesme. Suddenly the baby just popped out. And Bella was dead. And Edward was crying... ??? What the...

For sure, will get the full version one. And watch by myself. He already half yawning in the cinema. I don't want him to fall asleep on the couch watching with me. Hehehehe.

Let's just hope for a better part 2, please?

There are no words to describe how awesome the concert was. Jacky Cheung still have IT! He does not look like 50 at all. Still as fit as ever. Even though he's down with a little flu and raspy voice (he's done 2 concert and now is the 3rd one), he kept me entertained all night!

All of us was a bit worried when a presenter came on stage at 8.15pm saying there's some bad news. Then Jacky himself came on stage apologizing. Saying the last 2 days of singing has costs him his voice. OH NOO! But he assured us he'll do his best and ask us to keep our tickets. In case, he couldn't finish the concert there will be some sort of compensation. OMG! Setting the expectation right up front. We all of course cheered at him, supporting him no matter what. And you know what? He can still joke about it. Asking us to forget about seeing him on stage at that point coz he'll pop up later.

I loved the mini musical he did about his view about LOVE. It was truly a tear-jerking play. I, myself went watery-eyed. And he went on with the lovely ballads and rock numbers. Plus a mini Private Corner Jazz. OMG! I was really amazed. This is the guy that says that he's sick. But he was like a possessed singer. He kept on doing his stuff and there was no raspy voice at all.

There was no encore. I think there's no need for it. Everyone was satisfied with the 3 hours non-stop and no invited guests show. It's 100% Jacky Cheung! Plus, I don't think people will have a heart to ask him to encore.

I really wished that I could watch the concert again on Sunday...

I left the concert with heavy heart ~ uncertain if he'll be coming again. But I left with no regrets and with full of joy ~ remembering the songs he sang, the dance he danced and the jokes that he joked. I love you Hok Yau!

The plan was supposed to watch the Taiwan movie ~ You Are The Apple Of My Eye. But it was totally sold out =( And there was nothing interesting to watch. Hence, we went for Immortals. Which I think it was OK. But as a pregnant lady... I think better don't. Hehehehe.

Obviously there's a war going on here. Theseus was chosen by Zeus to fight against the ruthless King Hyperion. That's the baseline. There's lot'sa bashing up people, like 300. No worries, I closed my eyes and cover my tummy when all of those happened. Hahahaha! And supposedly hot scene but of course it was snipped off.

All and all, it was a good one. Wishing to watch more movie before my baby is too huge for the cinema. Perhaps Happy Feet would be a better selection? But I aiming to watch the Breaking Dawn. This doesn't count as horror movie, right?

Congrats to Mindy and Eric! It was a sunny (real sunny!) garden ROM at Carcosa Seri Negara on 19th November 2011 *my first garden wedding, paiseh* The sky was blue and sun was HOT! And everything went perfectly fine.

The theme was East Meets West. Love the decor!

The signing session was done in a simple way and sealed with a kiss ^^

Food was glorious! Would love to wallop the smoked salmon, but I can't *boohoo! I ate everything else, I think... Door gift was adorable ~ didn't have a heart to eat those cute cupcakes...

And here is my creation! Hehehe! She wanted to use her Polaroid and I just showcased it Ala Chinese feel. I love those red pegs!

And as all fairy tale ends... They lived happily ever after ^^

Well... I have no comment on the food there. I think I'm too used to Malaysian food where there are burst of flavors in 1 dish. In China, depending which province you're in, you can taste something different. But they like to keep it to 1 flavor. I admit... I really missed the nasi lemak, hokkien mee and roti canai here. There is no comparison ^^

I managed to tried whatever I can in China ~~ it's a bit oily tho... I'm not a fan of 'tung po yuk' aka fatty pork. And the 'siu loong pau' is not that great. But I kinda liked their normal pau =) The veggie and porky pau. Neh... those cheap cheap ones ^^

So, what I have to say for China? Hmmm... There's still hope with the new generation. I, for one don't think I'll be going to China any soon. Now, don't get me wrong. The place is nice with the scenery. But I still think they are a bit rude (sometimes, mostly the elderly) The young ones are more polite. And the spitting... You can't runaway from it. All the old ones are doing it everywhere!

Here's how it went ~ Suzhou - Hangzhou - Shanghai. It was really tiring. So, I think it's better to follow a tour to China. It's more easier. But you won't get a chance to see their true culture =) An eye opener, even for me as a Chinese ^^

But I salute to their public transport, the trains and LRT are great! I think for this trip I've taken all the transport except the bus. Taxis are abundance! But make sure to get on those metered ones. There a lot of illegal 'taxi' fishing for tourist.

Here's Suzhou and Hangzhou. Scenery are kinda same =p

Following the tradition, we're not supposed to tell the whole wide world about our bundle of joy *shy* But HEY! It's 3 months down the road and approaching the second trimester =)

Thanks GOD I was blessed with non-vomiting pregnancy! Even the doc say that GOD is being good to me =) But another fear is I'll be gaining lotsa weight. But till now, still maintaining. As for my food fascination, to my surprise it didn't change a bit. Woohoo! Downside would be no sashimi, no steamboat, no 'see ham' in my curry mee or charkueh teow... Well, but at least I love to have more veggie and fruits =)

So, there you have it! I'm being a MOM and he's being a DAD! And he already asked "when can I start holding the kid?" OMG! Is he over-excited? LOL!

So, gotta watch Mr Bean. It was one word ~ Funny. And I rest my case =)

My second choice ~ Cars 2! Luckily it's still on! I loved it! Ka-Chow! I think the second one has more action to it. With more involvement of Mater, the tow truck. McQueen is still being the best racer. But this time you'll get to see more Mater! Very FUN indeed =)

Food | Dirty Nelly's

Apparently it's not dirty but the food is nothing to brag about at Dirty Nelly's. Except for the William & Kate, which is actually asparagus wrapped with bacon and some mushroom sauce. And that's about it.

Here's the Pork Chop with Apple Sauce. The sauce is far too artificial and sweet. Meat is very tough. Prefer Betty's Midwest!

Then, we tried the Pork Platter aka Sir Supremo. It was just OK for me...

The Gammon Steak with Pineapple and Duck Egg. Well, this tasted better than the others =)

Desserts ~ Deep Fried Chocolate. Not what I expected it to be. The chocolate is definitely not Snickers bar. Sigh...

I don't think I won't be going back here. Sorry... Oh ya! Note on the soup. Do not try the Yellow Vanilla - too sweet, it's like having dessert! But you can try the Leakie Soup.

But hey! It's Wai Fong's birthday celebration! Happy 3.0!!!

Day 5 ~ dedicated for shopping. It was quite cold and raining a bit. We headed to Smith Street where there's loads of factory outlet. Got cheap but are those old designs la. I just got myself a Nike sweat pants =)

Have my try of San Churo on my last night. Something that needs to be tried before leaving Melbourne. Just like Koko Black's hot chocolate! Must haves!

So, here's our very last day in Melbourne. Flight was at the wee hours. We have a whole day spend around town. But we're being very laid back... just like the people here. LOL!

Trippin | Melbourne D4 the long winding road

A long long winding road. That's the Great Ocean Road. The view is magnificent BUT the road trip was tiring! We took a day tour on a double-decker bus. Luckily we stopped a lot of times. If not, I'll be puking all the way =p

I'm not going to share a lot of info here. Today, we just enjoy the nature ^^

Headed to the famous Queen Victoria Market. Lovely place to shop for groceries! Things here are fresh and nice and of course without our wet market smell.

Must try the doughnut here. But if you've been here before you'll surely tasted this. It's been here ages, I heard. Yummy!

Then, off we go the country side ~ Yarra Valley. Wine testing! Cheese testing! The place is gorgeous. And the wine is very affordable =) Bought a few bottles myself =)

Day 3 was a bit more relaxed (Melbourne is really a relaxed place) We just hang out at town and St Kilda. Did a lot of walking =) and eating too!

And ended the night with a stroll down at Crown...

Howdy people! After the 8 grueling hours on Emirates flight, we touched down in Melbourne at 1am! I wonder why my friends says that Emirates is nice? =( Tight leg space, not really friendly air stewardess. I still prefer MAS...

But anyway, let's not get the moods down coz of the flight. It's early in the morning. To my surprise there are still some makan place open! My very first hot choco on a cold morning. Very nice, indeed =) After a quick bite, we head back to Arrow on Swanston to nap a bit zzzzzzzz

First stop, we hang around town and admire the beautiful architecture. Love the sunny day but a bit cold sometimes =p I think there's nothing much to say about the town except for the food. We've been pigging out with their big breakfast, hot chocho and loads of dessert =)

I still remember his sheepy smile when he popped the question of me being his girlfriend. Still fresh in mind =) I still remember how it felt when he accompany me back to my bus stop. Heart thumping... Non-stop smiling... *and yeah. people waving malaysia flag to celebrate merdeka too. LOL!* Uhh!!! And the mini can Pringles that I gave him ~ which is now at our home =)

So, here's to us ~ lougong =) to more and more 12 years to come. Love u more and more every year...

I am! But not crazy enough to get her sky-priced tickets. Plus I won't be around to see it. However, need to return a favour to a friend that helped me to get Jacky's tickets. Citibank had the pre-purchase with 15% off first 500 tickets and 10% off 1500 tickets after. Luckily managed to secured 3 tickets. It was like going to the war, buying it online. Ticketcharge seriously need to upgrade their servers to cater such crazy crowd! Their FB page was bombarded with so many complaints! Even during Jay's tickets, they had the same problem. They never learn do they?

If it was not for Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig, I think this movie would be a flop. The storyline wasn't that great. It's exactly like its tittle, the Cowboys vs. Aliens. Reminded me of Super 8 without the kids running around. This time are Cowboys and Indians on horses.

Uhh! Uhh! Ahh! Ahh!

Well, I did thought they would speak like that. But NOOOO! The Rise of Planet of The Apes is a must see. I have no idea what was the previous, old old Apes movie's story. They say it was totally different.

They have cutie James Franco which plays the scientist, Will, that's dying to get a cure for Alzheimer's disease. A cure for his dad. Experiment after experiment didn't get through the Board of Directors. All his apes was to put to sleep after a disastrous presentation of the cure. Except for a baby ape that was then taken care by Will.

Caesar the baby ape has inherited his mother's gene that made him human-intelligent. Being an ape, soon it became too huge and a threat to Will's neighbour. Caesar was sent to animal protection and was abused. Hence, he cleverly created a group of intelligent apes to free all of the apes.

After watching this, I am very against animal testing! It's cruel. Some part, it was tear-jerking...

A new place in town, well, a new floor actually. Come to Pavilion and you'll see Tokyo Street. Japs restaurant, shops, etc. I love the way they renovated one part of Level 6 to become a small Tokyo Street. I haven't tried any restaurant yet. Stay tuned =)

The most anticipated first Avenger movie? Hell, yah! I'm not a real, real fan of The Avenger. I don't really know who is in the Justice League. But I can still start to know now =)

Captain America: The First Avenger. Seeing the movie, now I know why he's the first. Being from year 1942, he's the oldest Avenger. Of course you won't see an old man. Captain America has been injected with a formula that changed him to become a super soldier. Yeap, it came with a 6-packs and buffed figure.

Besides the buffed body of Chris Evans, the movie itself is good. Who doesn't like a superhero movie? Let's just wait for The Avenger =)

Second round of ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) @ Kampung Kemensah. The first time was very funny and sad coz the guide need to guide me the whole journey. This time, I drove all the way by myself! Woohoo!!!

The weather was wet and slippery. The ride was scary indeed, I nearly went up on an uprooted tree. Thank God no accident =p All and all it was FUN! And the waterfall was still as cooling as ever.

Yeay! Donnie Yen in action again! Wu Xia is not your ordinary kungfu flick. Not just about whacking people. This time is more to a psychology kungfu movie. Takeshi Kaneshiro plays as an investigator aka CSI uses psychology to determine how's the case was plotted. Donnie himself is actually an assassin turning to a new leaf as a paper maker, wanting to leave his pass behind.

But don't worry, Donnie still had his ass-kicking scene =) A real interesting movie, I must say.

It all has ended. It's sad to bid goodbye to Harry, Hermione and Ron. But every story must have an ending. All 7 series are out and live goes on for the whole gang ~ Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows Part II

So, the final battle is set which everyone already know. We all know how it ends. But we want to know how it ends on the silver screen. Expect to see blood, building rumbling over, zapping here and there. Uhh! And some kisses here and there. Quite awkwardly placed around the movie. LOL!

The CG was good. Better with the years gone by. But I was really expecting more from 'the battle' with Voldemort. I think no matter what I say here, you'll go watch, right? The HP fans out there? =) So, go enjoy the very last bit of it. I loved it =)

After 2 weeks it was up, I finally had a chance to watch Transformers: Dark of the Moon. People around me kept talking about this. Over and over again. And I kept ignoring them! Arrggghhh!

So, there I was watching the third Transformers ~ maybe the last... well at least the last from Micheal Bay. That's what I heard. But come to think of it, it might be the last with the prime villain, Megatron gone. But hey! Anything can happen.

Shia LaBeouf still charming but the lady was really kinda redundant. Rosie Huntington-Whitely was really there to be a vase. And she can't really act, don't you agree? I think Megan Fox would do a better deal.

OK. Going back to the movie. This time it was the Autobots working with the US in all sorts of way. In short Autobots are like US's private army. Up till the Decepticons came to claim Earth as their new Cybertron. And the war begins... Someone nearly got killed and someone lost an arm. Fair enough, it was entertaining. I doubt that Micheal Bay would come out with the forth one =)

I was kinda shocked to learned that some people really does lack of professionalism. I'm talking about a manager planning to resign his current post. Earlier on, he already announced to the world saying he won't be sticking around too long. Well, it's a preamp.

But the day he throw in the letter, he literally did that! Leaving the letter on boss's table. No email, no SMS, no note, nothing at all to tell the boss about the resignation. Yea. Boss is busy but that doesn't mean you can just leave the letter on the table. You might just as well stick a stamp on it and mail it to the boss. Duh!

Some might say that this reminds them of E.T., a new version of E.T. To be honest, I can't remember the details of E.T. Just remembered that the kid on bicycle in a field. Which was about the same in here. But I find that Super 8 was kinda cool.

Maybe I just love the 80's feel of the movie itself. Love the mood, the cars, the attire, the style. But the storyline was quite interesting. Looking into aliens through another viewpoint.

Yup. The movie is about an alien stranded on Earth waiting to rebuild it's spaceship to go home. And as you know, humans like to poke around stuff. Holding it captive while pretending to help it. Furious about this, a scientist help the alien to escape. But to the horror, the alien was so pissed off about their 'hospitality', it went off killing people while fixing up his ride.

It was a happy ending, actually. I liked it. Not a "WOW" movie. But not bad as well.

Uhh! You have to download Super 8 iPhone app. It's a video making app, very cool =)

Looking for a nice place with pork? Let's go to The Blue Cow Cafe. Don't let the name deceive you. They have beef and lamb too. Heard that the bacon is great. I didn't have a chance to try it yet. But I foresee that I will come again =)

For this round, he had the pork burger. Well, I think it was just an OK. But the patty was really fresh. It's just that the taste was just not for me. I got me the sausage sampler that has 4 types of sausages to choose ~ pork, beef, lamb and 3 more varieties that I can't remember their name. I tried those 3 with the pork and it was fantastic.

They have all day breakfast ~ yummy! And whole lot of other stuff too. So, head on to Plaza Damas for your porky feast! Uhh! And they sell raw meat too! Sausage, burger patties and all =)

With just a week before my brother-in-law gets married, I was without any dress! OMG! I know, I know... Last minute. What can I say? It's a norm =P So, this weekend must get myself a dress for the wedding dinner and something nice for the tea ceremony.

To 1U, he said! And the whole day was there. From breakfast till dinner. Luckily not till supper! Along the way, we met up with the usual suspects ~ Ah Ney and Bubu. They had their share of FUN too! But I think that their wallet doesn't really agree. LOL!

So, my haul was rather simple. Yes! I've controlled myself. Well, kinda. Got myself a nice dress from Key Ng, a top and pants from Pink Revolution boutique. And a nice 'dress' for my iPhone from Cath Kidston (from a shop ~ Deeper & Harder)

Not bad, eh? Yes, I didn't get any shoes. Just have to make do of what I have in my shoe rack =)

I personally think that Caribbean sequels had ran too much. And I think there is another one following this. But I still love Captain Jack Sparrow =) I won't say no to Johnny Depp. Who could?

So, what's the story for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, aye? This time the Fountain of Youth is up for grabs. Who would not want to stay young forever? Jack, Barbossa and the Spanish are trying to get hold of the Fountain with a very different purposes.

Penelope Cruz, playing the lead as Angelica was kinda the love of Jack. But it's a love and hate situation. I prefer Keira Knightly to be the lead even though I'm not a big fan of her. And why they took out Orlando Bloom???

Well, I'm not giving high hopes on this one. Just a normal-normal pirate movie.

YES! Let's get LOUD on 30th July 2011 @ Bukit Jalil. I hope it is really LOUD as it claims to be... LOUD FESTIVAL has 4 artistes coming together to kick up 1 great concert. Normally, I don't really fancy going to 'rojak' concert. But this is is an exception! Why? Because of HIM!

YES! Jay Chou will be one of the artist! OMG! OMG! Can see him again this year! I'm definitely going to this one. Maybe not the expensive tickets. I can settle with the RM328 ^^ Well, besides him, there is Soda Green ~ popular Taiwan folk-pop-rock band. I liked them too! Then there's Landy Wen ~ well known Taiwan singer and Cindy Yen ~ a newbie. You might recognize her with Jay on a song called 'Hua Sa' ~ Sand Painting ^^

I think there's lot's to see, especially from JAY =) Here are the seating, if you are interested. I'll be getting the orangy part. I think that would be good enough ^^

I'm supposed to be in Shanghai with Dad and Mom to visit my bro and family. But the trip has to be postponed. Dad's back is acting up. So, I had the flights postponed up till the latest ~ this November. Keeping my fingers crossed =)

But Melbourne is definately happening! Yeay! Won't missed my delayed honeymoon =) But what's the fun if there is just 2 of us going? We'll be ganging up with the newly-weds Mindy and Eric. With them, I think the itinery would be eat ~ eat ~ eat. LOL!

And just a sudden trip emerged. To the land of the Merlion! That would be very near =) Hopefully I can catch up with my bro and family there. I really missed Nicholas and Jesseca... They looked so grown up in photos. Uhh!! And maybe a trip to Universal Studios? Hehehehe!

I was halfway hoping that Fast Five would be the last one. But I could not resist to see Vin Diesel again and again and again. Just love his voice so much =)

This time it was in RIO (yes, Rio where the blue bird went...) After breaking Dom out from going to prison, they met up to pull out a gig over the kingpin of Rio. All the old guys from previous FF was called in and they busted a vault straight out from the police station! You must not miss the car chase with the vault. Awesome! Oh ya, and the fighting scene with The Rock! Not to be missed!

When you are about to think, yea.. this is the last one. Then BANG! some twist was added in. So, don't leave your seats after the movie yet. You think you might saw a ghost...

Our journey to SHOOT people begun in the early hours of the morning. Even earlier than going to work! Yeah, we are a crazy bunch of people ~ Him, Bubu, Ah Ney and me... With the growling stomach, we went straight to McD at Genting Sempah where we meet another wacko ~ Alf.

I saw his concert in Malaysia back in 2007. And it was a real GOOD show. This time is a little bit laid back. Simple stage. No ripping of shirt. Well, you are in Malaysia. But he wore body fitting tees and a few nice suits. And his dance moves! WOW! Nothing can beat that!

I got a scare of my life a few days ago and it's not an April Fool joke! Mummy got admitted to GH due to low blood sugar. She was at home, about to sleep and luckily Daddy was alert and saw something was amiss when she was sleeping. And he couldn't wake her up!

I rushed back and saw her and my legs just went wobbly. I really feared for the worst! Called in the ambulance. I really salute the ambulance, they came within 10-15 minutes. And they speeded back to GH. Well, I couldn't ask them to be sent to other hospital. Now, now ~ don't get me wrong. I have nothing against pubic hospital. The ER was good. With the waitings and waitings and waitings. I beared it all.

All was good until the day Mummy was supposed to be released from the hospital. The whole ward's nurses and doctors went to staff meeting for 3 hours! There are substitute and they don't know anything! Aggghhh! Imagine the agony of waiting! Mummy was getting agitated and I'm getting pissed!

So, what's I have to say is: Please get insured so that you don't need to go through public hospitals!

Yup. Another alien invasion movie. And we are losing - big time. So, what's to plot this time?

All troops, the army, the marines are called to make the final defense. And this time's plot is about a team of marines. Risking their lives to save a group of civilians trapped in a small town. With big guns and guts, they managed to save a few and found a way to kill those things.

Then, TADA! They save the world.

My say? It's good entertainment. But it's just another alien movie.

I think my luck went away right after CNY... Big Bang indeed that I got. Look at my little myvi. Looking back at this pix does sting my heart a bit. Sigh...

So, what's the story you asked? I've been repeating it over and over again. You must be thinking that I was at fault. Of course not! I was abiding the law, going straight, my traffic light is green. Approaching a T junction, seeing all sides are waiting patiently. Then out of a sudden one moron Iswara on the opposite road decided to cut queue and turn in to my left! First a motorbike ram to his front passenger door side then I ram to his back passenger door side.

Luckily no one was seriously hurt. Only the motorcyclist had some cuts and bruises. Thank god the motorbike wasn't really in front of my car. If not, I would have ram into the motorbike first before ramming to that moron Iswara.

I am OK. But my car has to be hospitalized for 2-3 weeks. So sad. My little car hurt badly...

Really hate those people that beats the red lights. Me and the motorcyclist made police report together, making sure that we're on the same page, saying is the Iswara fault. And of course claim his insurance! So, I'll be car-less for 2-3 weeks =(

Halo | All CNY movies!

This year CNY movies was a lot to choose from. Rather than choosing which one to watch or not, we just went for all of em'! That is within a few days in CNY! People say that we're crazy! Well, we are!

Funnily for the first one, we went for Mr & Mrs Incredible. Which was nothing to brag about. No wonder it was easier to get tix for this movie. I know, I know, Sandra Ng is in it. It is funny but the storyline ~ erm..... And don't think and Louis Koo is the best partner for Sandra. Age gap! But hey! It's a CNY movie! Laughable is enough. I did kinda enjoyed it ~ a bit...

This talks about a pair of retired superheroes trying to live as a normal couple in a small town. Hiding their super powers and just works as government worker and restaurant owner. But sooner or later, their itch to become heroes comes alive. Normal living is just too bored for them...

Next up ~ I Love Hong Kong. Similar to last year's 72 Tenants of Prosperity with Eric Tsang, Jacky Cheung and a whole lot of TVB stars. Too many people to focus then. But this time, I think they have learnt. Still keeping Eric and replacing Jacky with Tony Leong Kar Fai plus some TVB stars. Not too overwhelming... And ~ And Aarif Lee is in it! OMG! Still looking good! Just gorgeous!

Simple enough, the story is about HK live in the government flats. Introducing HK in another way, I think. Very entertaining indeed. Sandra Ng is also in this. This time I like her better =) Good show!

Then, comes in the always All's Well End's Well . Every year without fail, it comes out. However, I still prefer those old ones. Those with Leslie Cheung and Momo. Those are classics!

Different cast ~ with Yip Man... ops I meant Donnie Yen, Johnnie To, Cecelia Chueng and Louis Koo (again). I don't know about you, but I keep seeing Yip Man's shadow in this movie. Especially when Donnie was doing make-up. LOL! Another laughable CNY movie to watch. Don't think there is any special storyline to it though. Good entertainment =)

How about Homecoming from our neighbour, Singapore? But I think most of the filming was done here in Malaysia. We have our ver own Ah Niu and Afdlin Shauki. Not forgetting our neighbour's Jack Neo and Mark Lee. With these, for sure it will crack you up!

Topic of the day ~ Reunion Dinner. You know when people is too busy to go home for even 1 dinner? Ahh! This is the one that can smack those people on the face! Some people just wouldn't care less about reunion dinner saying it's 'just a dinner'. Well, Homecoming is just about appreciating this. Go home and have reunion dinner, no matter it's just veggie and rice or abalone with sharkfins. It's the family reunion =)

Now, let's change the scene a bit. From all those CNY laughter, we go to a more serious note. Andy Lau finally comes out with Shaolin together with Nicholas Tse. It's been a while we haven't seen them on screen.

I'm amazed at Nicholas's acting has improved a lot. He really did a good job of becoming the evil one. And Andy, there is nothing else but praise for this veteran. From evil to good. Very well done! The storyline doesn't run far with China and wars going on with multiple warlords wants to share the land. Shaolin, as usual will not be a part of these. And on how Andy became good after evil? and Nicholas taking charge? Better go see yourself. Must not miss this!

Halo! Halo! This is going to be a long post. =p

CNY Eve. First time not having dinner with my family. Feels a bit weird... Plus I need to work half day. After work and not going back to my parents place seems to be off. But going to my in-laws does give a new feeling =) First time that I did praying at the dawn of CNY. In-laws place was filled with fireworks and firecrackers!

First year of CNY with him =) I was a bit anxious. With the angpau givings, relatives to visits and fending off the big questions *haha* But still I missed Mummy & Daddy on the first day of CNY. Missed Mummy's vegetarian fried meehoon and 'longan lin chi pak hup tong shui'

So, first stop is to Ampang Old Folks Home. We donated stuff and giving out angpaus. This is what they do every year. Seeing the grandmas and grandpas all alone without children and grandchildren does sting a bit during the first day of CNY. I don't know how they, the children does it. For whatever reasons, we cannot leave our parents at old folks home. It's very sad. But I really hope that our visit made their day =)

Then, visiting temples and relatives. And of course every kid in the family was for our maiden double angpaus! And this went on to our friends too! =_=

We made a short trip to Sg Besar to visit a friend. And I just love snapping photos around! Love the laid back feeling =) And luck was on our side indeed! We managed to catch lion dance! 'tung chiang, tung chiang!'

And what's CNY without food? He suddenly have this fascination about roasted pork! So, there was a few meals that I had with his homemade 'siew yuk'! I admit that it does taste good ^^

Last but not least! Mahjong! Woohoo! Oh ya ~ and other gambling too! HUAT AHHH!

I got myself Jay Chou The Era 2010 World Tour DVD/CD. And it hyped me up for the real one! Just counting the days that I'll catch a glimpse of him! Wohhoo!!!

Watching the DVD, I know the Malaysia concert would be a bomb too!!!

And I noticed that one of the concert merchandise was iPhone covers! OMG! Loving it. I'm a crazy iPhone cover collector! I have now 4 covers and still adding it on! But this I really hope they get it in here in Malaysia! MUST HAVE!!!

Screen | The Green Hornet ~ Jay Chou

Well, I don't really remember watching the original one with Bruce Lee. So, I can't really compare. But I think if it wasn't for Jay Chou, I don't think I'll watch The Green Hornet. Must support JAY! Yeay!

Most of you might have known what's the story goes about right? 2 guys getting together to become heroes. But their plan is to be the bad guys in order to become the good guys. Does it makes any sense? Hmmmm???

Seth Rogan became The Green Hornet while Jay became Kato, his sidekick. But once you watched this, you'll wonder who's the sidekick? I'm sorry if I don't get this right. I dunno anything about the original version.

And I think that's about it. Nothing much to brag about except that Jay is in it. I am proud that Jay's English is getting well!!! Bravo!

Yet another locally made Chinese movie. Great Day ~ created by the same bunch of people for Woohoo! last year. I personally think that they are getting better with the locally-made movies.

This year for CNY they added in a more serious note into the movie. Parents love and care. Don't dump them into old folk's home. Yeah... It made me shed tears...

But it's not all sad and soapy. With Jack Lim, you won't feel dull a moment =) So, be prepared to laugh and to cry.

And I really loved the places that they filmed it... Didn't know that Malaysia has so many beautiful places...
